OBJECTIVES
Flying from mountain sites (take-offs and landings). Managing the physical challenge: access to each site is by hiking. Analysis of the aerology of a wilderness site.
PROGRAM OF THE WEEK :
5 full days
Day 1
General overview of the structure and structure of the week. The morning is spent on a school slope and special locations to assess existing skills. In the afternoon, we will start experiencing off track locations, gently and progressively, with 1 hike flight of approximately 500m elevation. Daily theoretical reminders (meteorology, regulations, etc.) and weather points for the week, and in more detail for the next day.
Day 2, 3 & 4
1 to 2 hiking flights per day followed by theoretical reminders and the weather point.
Day 5
Succession of itinerant hiking flights, not interspersed with transported vehicles. Instructors can alter this program depending on the weather conditions (postponing or cancelling session if needed).
LOGISTICS
Each course is supervised by two state-certified paragliding instructors, one of whom is a mountain guide. A shuttle is available for trips to the flight and landing sites.
EQUIPMENT REQUESTED
(rental available)
- Sail, harness, rescue and helmet approved for paragliding
- Hiking boots
- Telescopic or foldable poles
- Clothes suitable for walking
- Gloves and warm clothing for flights
- Sunglasses
If necessary, we can provide you with the radio as well as some of the technical equipment. You will need to present a medical certificate authorizing the practice of paragliding.
